As a French person living in the US, I really miss food from my country. It’s been forever since a had a very nice dinner, tasty food, perfectly cooked and flavorful. I can assure you that this was THE best meal I had in the us. Loved it so much. 🥺🫶🏻

This was SOOOO good. I mean we knew going into it it was going to be that way bc they were PACKED on Sunday night. Had the chicken breast entree and it was perfect and they’re reputable for it and for right reasons! Also the spinach artichoke dip was good for appetizer. I missed entree pic and mocktail but mocktail was great too and not like sugary but tasted great.

Sat in the courtyard and had a great time with my party! The bloody mary and shrimp+grits is a MUST have. You can tell by the finished plate I didn’t want to waste even a little bit! Service is also great and so welcoming.

Lovely café. The host was so kind. I arrived solo at opening time 5:30, and was seated right away without reservations. I was dining alone. I would recommend reservations. The food was delicious- Gumbo!

Had a beautiful bachelorette party dinner at Cafe Amelie and everything was absolutely delicious. The artichoke dip and shrimp and grits were delicious. The bread pudding was divine. Thank you for the excellent meal + service!

Have nothing but positive things to say about this cafe. We loved the relaxed vibe, amazing food. Get the shrimp and grits and bread pudding! The service was friendly and a little goofy. Really enjoyed our experience here.

When you come to New Orleans, you have to eat here! This was a true gem we found wandering away from the hype of Bourbon Street. The gumbo was everything we wanted and more—very flavorful with a touch of heat. We also had the shrimp appetizer and new pasta entree. Our lunch was highlighted by their signature drink and a double espresso to finish it off. We will return again and again. All the servers were delightful!

Lovedddd the atmosphere. Chose to sit inside but it was very cool and chilly. It was very relaxing. The interior is soooo cozy and cute too. The shrimp&grits and the poutine was very good. The BLT was nothing special but not bad. I recommend for a chill relaxing healthy brunch or lunch while busily touring new orleans!

I’d been wanting to try Café Amelie for a while, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food and service were fantastic from start to finish. The courtyard was beautifully decorated for Halloween, and all the staff were in full clown makeup—it added such a fun, festive touch without taking away from the great dining experience. Food and drinks were both on point. The house special blackberry whiskey cocktail was a standout. The beet salad and BLT were excellent, and the pork sandwich—the cochon—was absolutely loaded with tender, flavorful pork. Perfect mix of charm, creativity, and great food. Definitely worth the wait!

Everything we had was satisfying and delicious. Atmosphere is lovely, a little tight so reservations are probably the best route. The shrimp and grits were one of the better ones we’ve tried in our trip. The waffles of the chicken and waffles were soggy from the sauce, but the sauce is delicious so that makes up for that. The bread pudding was very bready and filling but delicious.
